The World Cup anthem leads the Billboard Global 200 for a seventh week.
Shakira and Burna Boy triumph on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart as their FIFA World Cup anthem, “Dai Dai (FIFA Official World Cup Song 2026),” reaches No. 1 on the list dated Sept. 5. The victory makes for Shakira’s first leader on the radio ranking, while Burna Boy collects his first champ in a lead role and second overall.
“Dai Dai,” released on FIFA Sound/SALXCO/Def Jam/Sony Music Latin, ascends to No. 1 to reflect its status as the most-played song on panel-contributing rhythm radio stations in the United States for the Aug. 21-27 tracking week, according to Luminate. The track jumps from No. 3 to seal its coronation, trading places with last week’s leader, Drake’s “Shabang,” which surrenders the crown after a two-week reign.
For Shakira, “Dai Dai” marks her first Rhythmic Airplay No. 1 via her 12th career entry, and just her second top 10. Her previous best was a No. 5 peak for “Hips Don’t Lie,” featuring Wyclef Jean, in 2006.
Burna Boy adds his second leader, after his feature on Gunna’s “wgft,” a four-week No. 1 in January. In five entries on the Rhythmic Airplay chart, the Afrobeats sensation has reached the top two with four different tracks, the two No. 1s and runners-up “Last Last” in 2022 and “Sittin’ on Top of the World” the following year.
Elsewhere, the World Cup anthem continues to make inroads at pop radio. It repeats at No. 27 on Pop Airplay, one rung below its No. 26 best, though it improves to its strongest weekly play count. It backtracks into a No. 36 high on Adult Pop Airplay, overcoming a slight decline in plays.
With Rhythmic leading the way, flanked by the pop support, “Dai Dai” climbs 31-28 on the all-genre Radio Songs chart. There, it improved to 18.2 million audience impressions for the tracking week, up 7% from the prior week.
In addition to its radio success, “Dai Dai” extends to a seventh week at No. 1 on the streaming-and-sales based Billboard Global 200 chart and a 10th frame atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S.version.
