Say “hello!” to Italy from a personal heli or “buongiorno!” from a private boat.

Uber’s latest installment of their “Go Anywhere” program brings Uber Boat and Uber Copter to Italy’s Amalfi Coast this summer.

Every Saturday and Sunday from July 26 through Aug. 24, travelers can charter a private boat or helicopter to see the über-popular European destination. Visitors can start reserving their trips on Wednesday, June 25, and can book a minimum of 48 hours ahead of any expedition.

Uber Copter

For those seeking an airborne experience, tourists can pre-book a private helicopter ride between Sorrento and the island of Capri through the same Uberapp one uses for regular car rides. It only takes selecting an available day and pickup and dropoff locations to reserve a ride. The ride costs €250 per person (about $285).

On the day of, a group of up to six will get door-to-door transportation as a car will transport them from anywhere in the Amalfi Coast to the helipad in Sorrento. The 9 a.m. departure will take guests on a scenic 15-minute flight to Capri in a dual-engine, dual-pilot helicopter. Capri is known for its beach clubs, lavish lunch spots, high-end shopping, and a yacht harbor filled with celebs in summer. After a full day exploring, guests have a 5:00 p.m. return flight from Capri to Sorrento, where a driver will be waiting to take them home.

Uber Boat

To get a seaside view of the Amalfi Coast’s iconic cliff-set beach towns, free Uber Boat rides can be chartered for groups of up to 12 via the Uber app. Just choose the pickup and drop-off locations to reserve a boat. The 4-hour cruise takes off from Sorrento Marina at 10 a.m. in an Italian Gozzo 35 boat with a personal skipper and complimentary snacks and drinks.

Uber is also launching Uber Reserve so tourists can reserve car transportation ahead of their trips, too.

This is not the first time the ride-share app users have been able to travel by sea. Uber Yacht kicked off in Ibiza and limo boats became available in Venice last summer. Also last year, Uber boats launched in the Greek islands, Paris and London.

The “Go Anywhere” program has launched other unique, limited-time experiences like Uber hot air balloons in Turkey and Uber safaris in South Africa in 2024.
