Stormzy has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship for his enormous cultural impact and philanthropic work.

The rapper and singer-songwriter, 32, was awarded the honour by Jesus College at the University of Cambridge.

Stormzy, whose real name is Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Junior, was elected in recognition of his cultural influence, commitment to social change and work championing educational access and equity.

It is a symbolic title awarded to someone who has made a significant contribution to a particular field, without requiring them to take on teaching or research duties.

In 2018, he launched the Stormzy Scholarship programme at the University of Cambridge.

It funds tuition and living costs for two Black British students annually.

Three years later, the programme was expanded after HSBC UK agreed to fund a further 10 students per year.

So far, 68 students have received support through the scholarship programme, with the 2025 cohort expected to see the largest group graduate so far.

The 'Stormzy effect' was credited with being a contributor to an increase in applications to Cambridge from Black students across the UK.

Sonita Alleyne OBE, Master of Jesus College, said: "Stormzy is an amazing storyteller, creative mind and champion for social change. His cultural impact is huge.

"We share many values, including supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds to reach their potential, tackling inequalities and using the arts as a force for good.

"In joining the college, we believe he will inspire our current and future students and enrich our community."

Druski’s “Soul Train” Skit Goes Viral for Nailing ’70s Vibes

Druski’s latest viral bit imagines what it would look like if he stepped straight into a 1970s episode of Soul Train, complete with afros, flares and exaggerated dance‑line chaos. The short sketch, posted with the caption “Soul Train used to be WILD back in the day,” shows him in full retro get‑up as the camera glides through a fake studio set that looks like a lost tape from around 1978. Commenters have joked that he “got it looking like a deleted 1978 episode,” praising how closely the grainy

Tom Holland and Zendaya’s “Secret” Wedding Sparks Fresh Questions About What Really Happened

Tom Holland and Zendaya are widely believed to be married after Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach casually told reporters that “the wedding has already happened” during a red‑carpet interview at the 2026 Actor Awards. Asked directly if they had tied the knot, Roach laughed and replied “It’s very true,” saying the ceremony took place privately and that the public simply “missed it.” Representatives for both actors have so far declined to comment, leaving Roach’s remarks as the only on‑the‑rec

Tory Lanez Loses “Last‑Ditch” Appeal as California Supreme Court Upholds 10‑Year Sentence

Tory Lanez has lost what legal experts say was his last realistic chance to overturn his conviction for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, after the California Supreme Court refused to hear his appeal. The Canadian rapper, born Daystar Peterson, is serving a 10‑year prison sentence for assault with a semiautomatic firearm, possession of a loaded and unregistered firearm in a vehicle and discharging a firearm with gross negligence over the July 2020 incident in the Hollywood Hills. Title Georgia Worker Says She Was Sent Home Because Her Hairstyle Was Deemed “Unprofessional"

A Georgia employee says she was sent home from work not because of her performance, but because her hairstyle was labeled “unprofessional” under her company’s grooming policy. In a post that’s now circulating on social media, she explains that the style — which she says did not interfere with her duties or safety — was flagged by management when she arrived for her shift, and she was told to go home early. She shared photos and her account of the incident on Instagram, writing that “this is what
