Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry took to social media Tuesday to celebrate his wife, Ayesha Curry, following the announcement of her starring role in the upcoming Roku Original romantic comedy, “Second Chance Holiday.”

The four-time NBA champion praised his wife of 15 years in a post on X, formerly Twitter, expressing his pride in her latest professional milestone. “My Leading Lady,” Curry wrote to his followers. “I get to see the work behind the scenes and now the world gets to see you shine and this is just the beginning.”

The film, which is scheduled to begin streaming on The Roku Channel on Thursday, Nov. 5, features Ayesha Curry as Chelsey, a professional dating expert who believes she is cursed in love. The plot follows Chelsey as she navigates a pattern of being dumped every holiday season, leading her to wonder if fate is attempting to reunite her with a high school sweetheart, played by co-star Matthew Daddario.

Ayesha Curry is no stranger to the screen, having built a steady acting portfolio alongside her work as a lifestyle mogul and cookbook author. Her previous credits include the Netflix film “Irish Wish,” the animated sports comedy “GOAT” and an early career appearance on the Disney Channel hit “Hannah Montana.”

Beyond her acting career, she continues to oversee her Sweet July wellness and skincare brand. The couple, who married in 2011 and share four children, have frequently used their platforms to support one another’s individual business ventures and philanthropic efforts. Roku’s announcement of “Second Chance Holiday” marks the latest addition to the platform’s expanding library of original seasonal programming.

The film aims to capture the traditional holiday movie audience while highlighting Ayesha Curry’s transition into leading lady roles. Industry analysts said the public support from one of basketball’s most recognizable figures provides a significant marketing boost for the streaming project.

Fans can access the movie for free on the Roku platform starting next week.
