Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom End Engagement, Break Up After 9 Years

Katy Perry, the US singer, and Orlando Bloom, the UK actor, have parted ways after nine years together.

According to TMZ and People, Perry, 40, and Orlando, 48, who have been in a relationship since 2016, have gone their separate ways.

The reason for their split however remains unknown.

Perry and Orlando met at the Golden Globes after-party in 2016 and announced their relationship after attending the Cannes Film Festival in May of that same year.

In February 2017, the duo announced that they had parted ways and had chosen to remain friends.

Rumours began to circulate in 2018 that the pair had gotten back together and in September, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at an event.

Orlando proposed to Perry in 2019 and they welcomed their daughter Daisy in August 2020.

They had initially planned to have their wedding also in 2020 but it was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Perry is one of the best selling artistes of all time and was the world’s highest paid female musician between 2015 and 2018.

Bloom, on the other hand, has been acting in Hollywood for decades. He has also secured with a plethora of nominations and awards.

Neither Bloom nor Perry have made an official comments about the split.
