French Montana is starting his next chapter in life with a major gesture of love.

The rapper proposed to Princess Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum with a diamond ring that carries a price tag of more than one million dollars.

The piece was created by Eric the Jeweler of Mavani & Co., who worked closely with French for several months before the final design was completed. The ring features an emerald-cut diamond that weighs 11.53 carats and is valued at approximately $1,050,000. According to a statement from his representatives, “The elegant and rare design is a perfect symbol of the couple’s unique love story.”

Montana, 40, asked for Mahra’s hand during Paris Fashion Week in June. The proposal came only days after he made his first appearance on the runway, modeling in the 3.PARADIS Spring/Summer 2026 presentation. On June 25, after finishing the show, he posted on Instagram with the caption, “TOUCHDOWN 🌊🎥.”

The couple confirmed their engagement on August 29th through a joint Instagram post that displayed the sparkling ring and included the caption, “🤍✨.” TMZ was first to reveal the news, while PEOPLE later confirmed it with an official statement from Montana’s team. His representatives also explained that families from both sides are currently working out the details of the wedding, which will be celebrated at a later date.

French and Mahra first drew attention in October 2024 when she shared images of their time together in Dubai. Their relationship became public during Paris Fashion Week when they appeared together at several events. Mahra, who is the daughter of Dubai’s ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was previously married to Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum. She has one daughter from that marriage, while French has a teenage son, Kruz, from a past relationship.
