Aaron Goodwin is embarking on a new phase in his life.

The star of Ghost Adventures has initiated divorce proceedings against his wife, Victoria Goodwin, just one week following her arrest for allegedly attempting to hire a hitman to take his life.

According to documents obtained by People, Aaron filed for divorce in Clark County, Nevada, on March 12, which was six days after Victoria's arrest.

The 48-year-old cites as grounds for the divorce that the couple's “views, tastes, likes and dislikes” have become so "incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony."

The filing further states, "There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife.”

As reported by People, Aaron requests that neither party be granted alimony, that his individual assets and debts be recognized as his exclusive property, and that he be reimbursed for "his reasonable costs, expenses, and attorney fees incurred herein."

On March 6, Victoria was taken into custody on felony charges related to solicitation and conspiracy to commit murder.

An arrest report reviewed indicates that Victoria was reportedly in communication with an inmate at a Florida prison regarding her marriage to Aaron.

“Am I a bad person?” she inquired in the documents. “Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce."

The documents further claim that Victoria provided the inmate with details about Aaron’s filming schedule for Ghost Adventures, including specific locations and times, and that she had allocated $11,515 to pay the purported hitman. Additionally, police reported that there were messages discussing an initial payment of $2,500.

“He's asleep right now in the hotel room,” Victoria allegedly messaged the hitman. “I need to know what's going on. Can I get an update? Was it done?"

The alleged conspiracy to commit murder reportedly began in October; however, law enforcement only became aware of it after the inmate’s phone was confiscated.

Authorities state that Victoria has denied any intention to have her husband killed, asserting instead that she was merely fantasizing about life without him and claiming she does not recall sending the messages. She suggested that her references to money were intended for a cell phone, although she acknowledged that she and Aaron had been facing marital difficulties.

In a previous statement to TMZ, the Ghost Adventures star expressed that he believed his marriage was happy and felt both blindsided and devastated by the alleged conspiracy.
