
Murder investigation launched following County Wexford death
The body of a 58-year-old man was discovered in County Wexford on Tuesday, prompting the opening of a murder investigation. Shortly after 11:00 local time, the Gardaí (Irish police) and emergency services were summoned to a property in Cluain Fada, New Ross, for an incident. The man, identified locally as John O'Connor, was discovered unconscious. A moment later, he was declared dead at the spot. Gardaí said they are treating the death as murder after a post-mortem examination on Wednesday.
