Wembanyama, Cunningham Named NBA Players of the Week for Week 9
San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama and Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 9 of the 2024-25 season. Wembanyama led San Antonio to a 2-0 record in the week under review to win the Western Conference Player of the Week award for the first time in his NBA career. The 20-year-old averaged 36.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 7.0 blocks per game across two games as the Spurs recorded wins over the Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trail Blazers.
