Rick Ross was honored this week by Georgia Congresswoman Nikema Williams, who presented him with an official proclamation celebrating his contributions to the state. Though he’s proudly from Miami, Ross has built deep roots in Georgia through business and community efforts that continue to grow.

The ceremony acknowledged Ross’ long-standing influence in the Peach State, particularly his annual Car & Bike Show, which has become a major attraction for locals and tourists alike. His efforts in franchising businesses like Wingstop, investing in real estate, and creating job opportunities were all highlighted, along with his “Boss Up” conferences that benefit HBCUs across Georgia.

As the fourth installment of the Car & Bike Show gears up to take over his Promiseland estate in Fayetteville, Ross welcomed media and invited guests to a special VIP preview at Atlanta’s Luc Belaire Creative Space on Wednesday. There, he spoke on how far the event has come.

“Every year we’ve got better and better. We’ve invested more and more—more detail, more, you know, just everything just to go smooth,” Ross said. “Just thinking about the people that’s coming in to enjoy the actual car show… So I’m excited for it.”

The event, happening Saturday, June 7th, is expected to draw about 8,000 attendees. “It’s really a great networking event,” Ross explained. “It’s a lot of celebrities. It’s a lot of entertainers. It’s a lot of CEOs… so it’s always great energy.”

Ross also hinted at a surprise involving filmmaker Tyler Perry. He added, “We usually sell out every hotel within a 60-mile radius… After last year, I gave a donation to help a lot of people out.”

“Come down and enjoy that—the amazing city of Fayetteville,” Ross said. “Too easy? Most definitely.”
