Nicki Minaj and Cardi B Exchange Insults On Social Media

Cardi B and Nicki Minaj reignited their long-running feud on Monday, trading shots on X in a heated exchange that reminded fans just how deep their rivalry runs. The two rap titans clashed in real time, swapping insults, parodies, and personal digs that quickly went viral.

The drama kicked off when Minaj, 42, tweeted—and then deleted—“$4.99,” a jab at the promotional price of Cardi B’s new album Am I the Drama?. She didn’t stop there, calling Cardi “Barney Dangerous” and flipping lyrics from the Bronx rapper’s track “Magnet” into mocking rhymes.

“Abcdefgeeeeeeee,” Minaj tweeted. “SUR GER REE TO LOOK LIKE MEEEEEE / tell the rat & tell J ZEEEEEE / Rico Fraud & PERJURY.” She pushed the attack further with, “Fallin off the charts wit a big bellyyyy,” referencing Cardi’s pregnancy. To drive her point home, Minaj posted an AI-generated image of Cardi dressed as Barney, accusing her of rapping like the purple dinosaur.

Cardi, 32, wasted no time responding. She said she was “baking ribs and making blondie brownies” when Minaj started “bothering [her] on a damn Monday.” Cardi clapped back by dubbing her nemesis “Cocaine Barbie” and firing off her own lyrical retorts. She dragged Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj, who is serving time for child rape, while brushing off criticism of her album sales.

“You been in the game like 16 years,” Cardi wrote. “You need to compare yourself to YOUR peers that started around YOUR time. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Drake. Those are the numbers you need to be competing wit.” She added, “I was in high school when you came out. Wtf is you comparing yourself to me for???”

Cardi also addressed Minaj’s jab at her pregnancy, writing, “Like you wasn’t going to different fertility doctors cuz you couldn’t reproduce from all them percs scrambling your eggs. NOT ALLEGEDLY. Lord protect my babies.”

Ice Spice chimed in from the sidelines, posting a laughing emoji as fans watched the feud escalate. The animosity between Cardi and Minaj stretches back years, with its most infamous moment coming in 2018 when Cardi threw a shoe at Minaj during Milan Fashion Week.
