The Duchess of Sussex has disclosed that she experienced a "rare and frightening" medical condition following the birth of one of her children.

In the inaugural episode of her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan shared that she was diagnosed with post-partum pre-eclampsia after giving birth.

She characterized the experience as a "huge medical scare" and mentioned that she had to cope with the situation privately, without the public being aware of her struggles.

Meghan, who has two children with the Duke of Sussex, did not specify whether this medical issue occurred after the birth of Archie, who is five, or Lilibet, who is three.

As stated on the NHS website, pre-eclampsia can impact certain women during pregnancy or shortly after childbirth, with initial symptoms such as elevated blood pressure.

Speaking about her condition Meghan said, "It's so rare. And it's so scary,"

"You're still trying to juggle all these things and the world doesn't know what is happening, quietly, and in the quiet you are still trying to show up for people," she finished.

"In the quiet you're still trying to show up mostly for your children. But those things are huge medical scares."

The inaugural guest on Meghan's podcast was Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder of the dating application Bumble, who has also experienced the condition.

Herd characterized it as "life or death truly," emphasizing that "its really scary".

She recalled the moment Meghan gave birth to Archie, stating that she would "never forget" the sight of Meghan "and the whole world was waiting for his debut".

In the podcast, Meghan shared her experiences of balancing work and childcare, mentioning that Lilibet frequently accompanies her during virtual meetings while she works from home.

Meghan's latest podcast, produced in collaboration with Lemonada Media, succeeds her previous series, Archetypes, which aired on Spotify and encountered significant criticism.

This initiative is part of a series of business endeavors by the duchess, who has also recently appeared in a new Netflix lifestyle series named With Love, Meghan, and introduced a new brand called As Ever.

She has indicated that the new podcast will showcase "candid conversations with amazing women" and will also incorporate "girl talk."

The US House votes to overturn Trump's tariffs on Canada

The US House of Representatives has voted to rescind US President Donald Trump's tariffs on Canadian goods. In a 219 to 211 vote, six Republican lawmakers joined Democrats to back a resolution that seeks to end the tariffs Trump imposed on Canada last year.  The vote is largely symbolic as it will still need to be approved by the US Senate and then approved by Trump, who is very unlikely to sign it into law.  Since his re-election, Donald Trump has imposed a series of tariffs on Canada, recen
