Karen Civil Announces Nipsey Hussle Collaborations With Foot Locker & L.A. Rams Coming Soon

Nipsey Hussle’s legacy continues to thrive with the help of media maven Karen Civil as a collaboration with Foot Locker and the NFL’s L.A. Rams is underway. Civil revealed the news during the latest episode of the Won of One: A PLLRS Podcast. The new partnerships will elevate Neighborhood Nip’s Marathon brand into one of hip-hop’s most recognizable lifestyle companies.

with host Reg Calixte, longtime collaborator Karen Civil revealed that Marathon is preparing for two major collaborations that build on the entrepreneurial vision Hussle championed before his death.

“There is a partnership coming with Foot Locker. [They’re] getting ready to reopen on Crenshaw and Slauson in conjunction with Marathon,” Civil said. “A partnership with the [Los Angeles] Rams is coming up.”

The announcements signal another chapter for the Marathon brand, which Hussle founded as an extension of his business philosophy and commitment to South Los Angeles. The planned reopening at Crenshaw and Slauson carries added significance because the intersection became synonymous with the rapper’s rise, community investment and independent mindset.

Civil suggested the long-term goal is to establish Marathon as a cultural force that reaches far beyond streetwear. The strategy aims to position the brand alongside some of fashion’s most influential labels while preserving the values Hussle embedded in the company from its inception.

A partnership with Foot Locker would introduce Marathon to one of the world’s largest athletic retail platform. It gives Nipsey’s brand greater visibility while maintaining its connection to the neighborhood that shaped Hussle’s career.

The reported collaboration with the Los Angeles Rams would further extend Marathon’s reach into professional sports. Another space where Hussle’s influence has continued to grow since his passing.

The updates reflect how Hussle’s vision remains active years after his death. Rather than relying solely on his music catalog, those overseeing Marathon continue to develop opportunities rooted in ownership, economic empowerment and community investment.

If the partnerships move forward as planned, they would represent another milestone for the brand and reinforce Hussle’s lasting impact on fashion, business and hip-hop culture. Civil’s comments indicate that Marathon’s next phase is designed to honor the rapper’s blueprint while introducing his vision to an even broader audience through strategic collaborations with Foot Locker and the Los Angeles Rams.
