Eric Murphy, son of Eddie Murphy, and Jasmin Lawrence, daughter of Martin Lawrence, have tied the knot.

Eddie Murphy confirmed the news during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, revealing that the couple opted for a private ceremony with just the two of them and a preacher, foregoing the previously discussed grand wedding plans.

Eric and Jasmin began dating in 2021 and announced their engagement in November 2024 with a romantic video shared on Instagram, showcasing a candlelit proposal . Their fathers, longtime friends and co-stars in films like Boomerang and Life, have expressed joy over their children’s union. Eddie Murphy humorously noted that Martin Lawrence is now off the hook for the large wedding bill they had joked about in the past.

While the wedding was an intimate affair, Murphy mentioned the possibility of a future celebration and even joked about performing a duet with Lawrence at the party.
