Drake May Be Set on Another Release, According to OVO Sound President

Drake’s recent burst of releases has already shifted the pace of conversation around his catalog. Three albums have arrived in close succession, and there is little sign, at least publicly, of a pause. Still, industry watchers and fans alike have begun looking ahead. This is prompted in part by a social media post from OVO Sound president Mr. Morgan that hinted at what might come next.

Morgan used Instagram to acknowledge the scale of Drake’s latest rollout and pointed to strong early performance across ICEMANHABIBTI, and MAID OF HONOUR. The albums have remained in constant rotation online since release, driving streaming discussion and chart forecasts. In his caption, Morgan wrote, “Summers ours, winter too,” a line that quickly took on a life of its own across fan accounts and music commentary pages.

The brief message has been read in different ways. Some listeners saw it as little more than a reflection of Drake’s sustained commercial presence across seasons. Others read it as a possible hint that new material could arrive later in the year. The post offered no further detail, and neither Drake nor representatives from OVO have expanded on its meaning.

The timing of the speculation has added another layer of interest. Drake is currently involved in an ongoing legal appeal tied to his dismissed defamation lawsuit against Universal Music Group. That case stemmed from the release of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.” As a result, the case has kept attention fixed on his relationship with the label even as the music cycle continues to move forward.

At the same time, some observers have linked the rapid release of three albums to broader contract questions. They suggest the trilogy could reflect a transitional moment in his deal with UMG. Others view the pace simply as an extension of a particularly active creative period rather than anything contractual.

For now, no additional project has been confirmed. Still, with the current trilogy already performing strongly across platforms, even a single line from an executive has been enough to set off another round of speculation about what Drake might do next.
