Chris Brown Released on £5 Million Bail Following Assault Charge

Chris Brown has reportedly been granted bail by a UK court, set at £5 million (approximately $6.7 million USD).

However, as previously reported, a London judge initially denied bail for Brown, meaning the singer would have remained in custody in the U.K. until at least June 13, when he is scheduled to appear at Southwark Crown Court. Luckily for fans, he was granted bail.

Brown was arrested earlier this week in connection with a 2023 incident at TAPE nightclub in London’s Hanover Square. He faces charges of grievous bodily harm with intent, following allegations that he assaulted music producer Abe Diaw.

Judge Joanna Hirst denied Brown’s earlier bail request, citing concerns over a potential flight risk. “The risk of flight is too significant,” she said at the time.

Since his release, Chris Brown is now expected to move forward with his upcoming world tour. The Breezy Bowl XX tour is scheduled to kick off this June in Amsterdam.

“TEAM BREEZY !!!!!TEAM BREEZY!!!TEAM BREEZY!!!!!BREEZY BOWL 20th anniversary TOUR!!!!!!!!!! CELEBRATING 20 years of CB,” he wrote on Instagram.

“So excited to be able to share this moment with the world and my amazing fans. I CANT WAIT TO SEE ALL YALLS BEAUTIFUL FACES. IMA TAKE YALL THREW THESE ERAS BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY GIVE YALL MY HEART AND SOUL.”
