Cardi B Says Divorce Kept Her From Losing Her Mind and Going to Jail

Cardi B recently revealed how tough things got with Offset before they decided to get a divorce last year.

On her X Spaces, she described the mental strain she experienced during the final stages of their relationship. Cardi shared, “I don’t think people understand how tired I was … I was mentally drained. Couldn’t eat—I was getting frequent headaches. I was literally losing my mind. I gave [him] chances after chances.” She also admitted, “If I was still there, I was gonna end up going to jail. Cause I was gonna end up killing him, seriously, with my own bare hands. It was just getting too much.”

Offset recently reacted to Cardi’s new romance with NFL star Stefon Diggs after footage showed them getting affectionate on a yacht. In one video, Cardi dances provocatively while Diggs playfully spanks her. Amid their ongoing divorce, Offset took to social media to dismiss the relationship, posting, “Good roll out n PR.”

Their divorce has been underway since last year, just before their third child arrived. Offset is requesting spousal support but hasn’t specified an amount, asking for financial aid once the divorce is finalized. He’s also pushing for joint custody of their children and wants Cardi’s home to serve as their main residence. Both parties want their shared assets divided, with each covering their own legal expenses.

The messy divorce between Cardi B and Offset has kept fans watching closely. Last year, Akademiks claimed that Cardi may have been unfaithful to Offset with Diggs during her pregnancy. He explained, “This is what I heard… Cardi B was catching Offset doing all types of bullshit and basically, when Cardi B was like eight months pregnant, Offset went through her phone and caught her texting some dog-a** n***a named Stefon Diggs, some football player.” At this point, we don’t know when the messiness in this divorce will subside.
