Britney Spears has reportedly sold the rights to her music catalogue.
The catalogue includes hit songs like “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!…I Did It Again,” according to US media reports.
Celebrity website TMZ, citing legal documents, reported that the deal was signed on December 30.
TMZ sources also estimated the deal could be worth about $200m, although the exact amount was not stated in the documents.
Reports said the rights were bought by music publisher Primary Wave.
Primary Wave’s portfolio includes works linked to artistes such as Whitney Houston, Bob Marley and Prince.
Spears has now joined other global stars who have sold music rights in recent years as investors chase long term earnings from streaming, licensing and other uses.
Spears rose to fame in the late 1990s but has been less active in music in recent years.
In 2021, a US court ended her long running conservatorship, which had allowed her father to control her finances, an arrangement the singer had described as abusive.
