Beyoncé To Return To Met Gala For The First Time In A Decade As 2026 Co-Chair

Beyoncé is officially returning to the Met Gala—this time as a co-chair.

The 2026 Met Gala will celebrate the Met’s spring Costume Institute exhibition “Costume Art.” Alongside Bey, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour will also co-chair.

Beyoncé’s involvement signals a powerful cultural moment, marking her first return to the iconic steps in 10 years. Her previous Met Gala looks—including the unforgettable Givenchy gowns that defined early-2010s red carpet glamour—remain some of the event’s most talked-about fashion moments.

As co-chair, Beyoncé is expected to play a significant role in shaping the tone of the evening, from championing visionary designers to spotlighting emerging creatives. Her influence extends beyond fashion; with decades of impact across music, film, business, and culture, her return adds star power to a night already known for its global spotlight.

Additional co-chairs and guest list details have yet to be announced, but anticipation is already high. Fans and fashion watchers alike are eager to see what direction Beyoncé will bring to the Met Gala—and, of course, what show-stopping look she’ll wear when she steps onto the famed carpet once again.
