Anticipation is building for A$AP Rocky’s forthcoming studio album is Don’t Be Dumb, though the rapper has remained tight-lipped about its official release date.

In a recent Vanity Fair feature with actors Callum Turner, LaKeith Stanfield, Glen Powell, and Jeremy Allen White, Rocky shared insights into the album’s progress, teasing collaborations without revealing a timetable.

He noted, “Danny Elfman has collaborated with me on this project, scoring several tracks for my new album. We have something special in the works that I expect to share with fans before the year’s end.” The comments suggest a distinctive musical direction while avoiding concrete release details.

Rocky has repeatedly sidestepped questions about timing. After postponing the album in 2024, he hinted at a potential surprise drop in an October interview with Numéro Magazine. “To be honest, I don’t want to discuss release dates any longer,” he said. “I believe it’s best to let the music resonate naturally. One day, you’ll simply wake up to exciting news. I regretted giving dates last time, and I want to ensure you enjoy the album when it finally arrives.”

Rocky’s Pursuit of Film

Alongside music, Rocky has pursued acting with increasing focus. “Acting is simply another facet of the expansive world of the arts,” he told Vanity Fair. “I consider myself a Renaissance man, driven by a long-standing passion for pursuing diverse acting roles.”

He recently starred in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest opposite Denzel Washington. Reflecting on the experience, Rocky said, “Being around established figures is invaluable; I absorb their wisdom every time. I aspire to combine that knowledge with my own journey and perhaps one day be considered that wise and timeless presence while still embracing my youthful charm.”

Through his work in music and film, Rocky continues to navigate multiple creative arenas, offering fans a compelling glimpse of a career that defies conventional boundaries while promising more artistic milestones ahead.
